Job Title: Part-Time Worship Leader
Location: King’s Way Reformed Church, Prescott, Arizona
Compensation: $1,500/month (5-7 hours per week) approx $62-75/hr
Relocation Bonus: $2,500
Job Overview:
King’s Way Reformed Church in Prescott, Arizona, is seeking a Part-Time Worship Leader who meets or hopes to meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. This position is pastoral in nature and requires a man who is either qualified to be an elder or is a potential candidate for leadership in the future. The Worship Leader will be responsible for overseeing and leading the musical worship on Sunday mornings, along with mid-week worship practice for the congregation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead worship for Sunday services, ensuring theologically sound and musically excellent worship.
- Conduct a mid-week practice session with the congregation to prepare for Sunday worship.
- Select music that aligns with the doctrinal standards of the church and encourages congregational participation.
- Collaborate with the pastoral staff to ensure the worship service is cohesive and reverent.
- Teach and guide the congregation in understanding worship from a biblically sound, Reformed perspective.
Qualifications:
- A male candidate either qualified as an elder or on the path to meeting elder qualifications, as per the requirements of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
- Must affirm one of the following confessions of faith: Westminster Confession of Faith, 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, or The Three Forms of Unity.
- Proficient in music theory (to some degree), with the ability to sing and lead worship while playing either piano, guitar, or both.
- Able to organize and conduct a mid-week worship practice for the congregation.
- Strong theological understanding, particularly in Reformed worship principles.
- Pastoral heart and ability to guide the church in worship as an integral part of the broader ministry.
